How to Add a New Phone Number to Your Calilio Account?

To add a new phone number in Calilio, open Settings, then My Numbers, and click Add a New Number. On the Purchase Number screen, choose the country and the number type, search the list, and click Add to Cart on the number you want. Complete the checkout from your cart to buy the number.

Step 1: Open My Numbers

• Click Settings in the left sidebar.
• Under NUMBERS, click My Numbers.
• The list opens on the Active tab, with the Pending and Failed tabs beside it.

Step 2: Click Add a New Number

• Click Add a New Number at the top right of the numbers list.
• The Purchase Number screen opens.
• The breadcrumb reads Settings, My Numbers, Purchase Number, so you can confirm which screen you are on.

Click Add a New Number to open the Purchase Number screen.

Step 3: Choose the country and the number type

• The Country list shows each country with its dial code.
• Type offers Local, Toll-Free, Mobile, National, and All.
• Use Select Capabilities to narrow the list to numbers that support the channels you need.

Choose the country the number should belong to.

Step 4: Narrow the search

• Use Search Criteria to switch between Number and Locality.
• Match To lets you set where your text must appear in the number.
• The search field accepts a number type, an area code, a prefix, or a character you want the number to contain.
• Click Reset to clear the search and restore the full list.

Type an area code or prefix to narrow the list.

Step 5: Add the number to your cart

• The results show NUMBERS, CAPABILITIES, ADDRESS REQUIREMENTS, TYPE, MONTHLY FEE, and ACTION.
• Read the ADDRESS REQUIREMENTS column before you choose, because it shows whether the country requires an address on file for that number.
• Click Add to Cart on the row you want.

Step 6: Check out and pay for the number

• Open your cart, and pay for the numbers in it.
• A number that requires an address needs that document on file before it can be activated.
• The number appears on the Pending tab until it is approved, then moves to Active.

Expected result

• The number appears on the My Numbers page under Settings.
• The number appears under NUMBERS in the left sidebar once it is active, with its own inbox.
• Assign the number to the team members who work from it, and it appears in their list as well.

Why does a number need an address?

Some countries require a local address on file before a number can be used there. The ADDRESS REQUIREMENTS column shows which countries require an address before you buy, so review it before you complete the purchase.

What do the capability icons mean?

The capability icons show which channels each number supports. The list marks VOICE, SMS, and MMS against each number, and the same icons appear on the My Numbers page under Settings after you own it. A number without the SMS icon cannot send text messages.

Why is my new number on the Pending tab?

Pending means the number is purchased but not yet activated. Numbers that need an address or a document stay on that tab until the check clears, which is why My Numbers splits into Active, Pending, and Failed.
