How to Import Contacts into the Power Dialer in Calilio?

To import contacts into the Calilio Power Dialer, open the Power Dialer, go to the Import Lists tab, and click Import CSV. Name the list, download a sample template to match the format, then upload your CSV. The list is then available to any campaign you create.

A campaign dials an import list, so the list has to exist before the campaign does. Import Lists is where those lists live, and every list you upload stays available to any campaign in the workspace.

Before you begin

• You need admin rights. The Member view has no Import Lists tab.
• Save your contacts as a CSV file. The dialog states CSV as the supported format.

Step 1: Open the Import Lists tab

• Open the Power Dialer from the left sidebar of your Calilio workspace. It opens in a new browser tab.
• The Power Dialer opens on Import Lists, the first of its four tabs.
• The table lists every list already uploaded, with its name, how many numbers were valid, and the date it was imported.

Step 2: Click Import CSV

• Click Import CSV at the top right of the Import Lists tab.
• The Import File dialog opens.
• Nothing is uploaded until you click Upload, so you can close the dialog at any point.

Click Import CSV to open the Import File dialog.

Step 3: Name the list

• Type a name in the Name field.
• This is the name you choose from Import List when you create a campaign, so make it recognizable.
• A name that says who is in the list and when it was gathered saves time later.

Give the list a name your team will recognize.

Step 4: Download a sample template

• The dialog offers two samples, and each one shows the layout your file needs.
• Country code sample covers numbers that include the correct country code, such as +1 for the US.
• No country code sample covers numbers without country codes, which default to local dialing.
• Click Download beside the one that matches your data.

Download the sample that matches how your numbers are written.

Step 5: Upload your CSV file

• Click the upload area reading Click to upload or drag & drop, then choose your file.
• You can also drag the file straight onto that area.
• Click Upload to finish.

Choose your CSV file, then click Upload.

Expected result

• The list appears at the top of the Import Lists table with the status Imported.
• Valid Contacts reads how many numbers Calilio accepted out of the total you uploaded.
• The list is now available from Import List on the campaign form.

Which sample template should you use?

Use the country code sample whenever your contacts are in more than one country, because a number without a country code falls back to local dialing and reaches the wrong place from abroad. Use the no country code sample only when every contact sits in the same country as the number that calls them.

Can you delete an import list?

No. Each row of the Import Lists table ends in a delete control, and it is unavailable on every list in the workspace. Nothing on the screen explains the restriction, so contact our support team if a list has to be removed.

Which plans include the Power Dialer?

The Premium and Enterprise plans include the Power Dialer. The Standard plan does not.
