How to Set Up a Backup Card in Calilio?

To set up a backup card in Calilio, open Settings, then Payment Methods. Find the card you want Calilio to charge when the default card is declined, open the menu at the end of its row, and click Set as Backup. If that card is not saved yet, add it with Add Payment Method first.

Step 1: Open Payment Methods

• Click Settings in the left sidebar.
• Under BILLING, click Payment Methods.
• The Payment Methods page lists your saved cards under Your Cards, with your billing details underneath.

Step 2: Find the card you want as the backup

• Each row shows the last four digits, the name on the card, and the expiry date.
• The card Calilio charges first carries a Default badge and appears under Your Default Payment Method.
• Select a different card as the backup, and click Add Payment Method first if you have only one card saved.

Step 3: Choose Set as Backup

• Open the menu at the end of that card's row.
• On a card that is not the default, the menu holds Set As Default, Set as Backup, and Remove Card.
• Click Set as Backup.

• The card you selected is saved as the backup.
• The default card is unchanged and keeps its Default badge.
• Both cards remain listed under Your Cards.

What is a backup card for?

A backup card is a second saved card that Calilio charges when a charge on the default card does not go through. Cards expire, get replaced, and get declined, and a failed charge on your business phone system interrupts your calls and messages.

Can the default card also be the backup?

No. A backup card helps only when it is different from the card Calilio charges first, so select a second saved card for the role. On the card marked Default, the menu offers Set as Backup, while a card that is not the default also offers Set As Default and Remove Card.

How do I add a second card?

Use Add Payment Method at the top of the Payment Methods page. Calilio saves the new card alongside the others under Your Cards, and you can then set it as the backup from its own menu.

Where do I check which card is charged first?

The card Calilio charges first appears under Your Default Payment Method on the Payment Methods page, and it carries a Default badge. Any other saved card appears under it in the Your Cards list.
