How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication in Calilio?

To enable two-factor authentication in Calilio, click Settings in the sidebar and the My Profile page opens. Under Security & Sessions, open Two Factor Authentication, turn on Authenticator App, then scan the QR code with your authenticator app and click Continue.

Before you begin

• Install an authenticator app on your phone first, because Calilio asks you to scan a code with it.
• Calilio names Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, and Duo on the setup panel.

Step 1: Open the My Profile page

• Click Settings in the Calilio sidebar, which opens My Profile.
• Scroll to Security & Sessions, the last block on the page.
• Two Factor Authentication is the first row in that block.

Step 2: Open Two Factor Authentication

• The row reads Two Factor Authentication over the line about getting codes from an authentication app.
• Click the arrow at the right of the row, which opens a page of its own.
• That page carries two options: Authenticator App and Email Address Verification.

Click the arrow on the Two Factor Authentication row to open its page.

Step 3: Turn on Authenticator App

• Authenticator App is the first option, under the line Manage how accounts are secured.
• Its switch is off until you turn it on.
• Turning it on opens a SETUP 2FA panel on the same page.

Turn on the switch beside Authenticator App.

Step 4: Scan the QR code and click Continue

• The panel is headed SETUP 2FA and asks you to scan the QR code it shows.
• Open your authenticator app, scan that code, and it starts producing one-time codes for Calilio.
• Enter the code the app shows, then click Continue.
• Treat the QR code as a password and show it to nobody.

Expected result

• The Authenticator App switch reads on.
• Calilio uses your authentication app for two-factor authentication codes, which is what the page says the option is for.

What is Email Address Verification in Calilio?

Email Address Verification is the second option on the Two Factor Authentication page, and the page states that users must verify their email before accessing their account when it is on. It is a switch on its own, with no setup panel behind it. You can run it with Authenticator App or without it.
