How to enable two-factor authentication?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Calilio account. Once enabled, you must enter a one-time authentication code in addition to your password when signing in.
Step 1: Log In to Your Calilio Account
Sign in to Calilio using your registered email address and password.
Step 2: Open My Profile Settings
Click the Settings icon from the left-hand navigation menu. The My Profile page opens automatically.

Step 3: Open Two-Factor Authentication
Scroll down to the Security & Sessions section. Click Two Factor Authentication or the arrow icon displayed beside it.

The Two Factor Authentication page includes two security options:
- Authenticator App
- Email Address Verification

Step 4: Enable the Authenticator App
Turn on the toggle beside Authenticator App. Calilio will display a QR code and a manual setup key for connecting your account to an authentication app.
Step 5: Connect an Authenticator App
Open an authenticator app on your mobile device, such as:
- Google Authenticator
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Authy
- Duo

Select the option to add a new account, then scan the QR code displayed in Calilio.
If you cannot scan the QR code, enter the setup key shown below it manually in your authenticator app.
Important: Do not share the QR code or setup key with anyone. They can be used to generate authentication codes for your account.
Step 6: Verify the Authentication Code
After connecting the authenticator app, click Continue. Enter the one-time code generated by the app and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup. Once verified, the Authenticator App toggle will remain enabled.
How to Enable Email Address Verification?
On the same Two Factor Authentication page, locate Email Address Verification. Turn on the toggle beside it. When this option is enabled, users must verify their email address before accessing their account.

Authenticator app verification and email address verification can be managed separately using their respective toggles.
What Happens After Enabling Two-Factor Authentication?
When signing in, Calilio may ask you to enter a temporary code generated by your authenticator app after you submit your email address and password. If email address verification is enabled, you may also need to complete the email verification process before accessing your account.
Having Trouble Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication?
Check that:
- Your authenticator app is installed and working correctly.
- Your device’s date and time are set automatically.
- You entered the latest code displayed in the app.
- You scanned the QR code for the correct Calilio account.
- You have access to the registered email address.
If you lose access to your authenticator app or cannot complete email verification, contact the Calilio support team for assistance.
