What Is a Backup Card in Calilio?

A backup card in Calilio is a secondary payment method that automatically processes payments if your primary card fails or is declined. This ensures uninterrupted service by providing a seamless fallback option for transactions, such as subscription renewals or call credits.


Follow these step-by-step instructions to set up your backup card in Calilio:


Step 1: Log In to Your Calilio Account

Step 2: Navigate to Payment Methods

  • Click on the Settings tab in the left sidebar.
  • Select Billing.
  • Choose a Payment Method.



Step 3: Set a Card as Backup

  • In the Payment Method section, you’ll see a list of your saved cards.
  • Locate the card you want to set as the backup.
  • Click on the three dots (⋮) on the right side of the card.
  • A dropdown menu will appear with options:
    • Set as Default
    • Set as Backup
    • Delete Card
  • Click Set as Backup.



Step 4: Confirm Your Backup Card

  • The selected card will now be labeled as "Backup Payment Method".
  • You can change or update your backup card anytime by repeating the steps above.

Important Notes

  • You can only set one backup card at a time.
  • If your primary card fails, Calilio will automatically attempt to charge the backup card.
  • Ensure your backup card has sufficient funds to avoid service interruptions.
