What Business Information Is Required for A2P Registration in Calilio?

A2P registration in Calilio asks for three sets of information: your legal business details and registration number, a United States or Canadian business address, and your brand name with the industry it trades in. The campaign then asks for sample messages and how your customers opt in.

Gathering these before you start saves a half-finished registration. Each group below matches one step of the registration screen, and every field marked with an asterisk on that screen is required.

What the customer profile asks for

  • Legal Business Name, exactly as registered. Calilio points United States entities at the name on the CP 575 EIN Confirmation Letter.
  • Business Type and Business Registration ID Type, both chosen from a list.
  • Business Registration Number, which Calilio describes as the EIN or Tax ID as it appears in the EIN listing.
  • Business Industry, chosen from a list.
  • Website URL, which Calilio asks to be a site that reflects the registered brand.
  • Business Regions of Operation, ticked from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin, and USA and Canada.

The customer profile asks for seven business details.

What the business address has to be

  • A Country Code, a Street Address, a City, a State/Province/Region, and a Postal/Zip Code. A second address line is optional.
  • The address has to be a valid United States or Canadian address, and a P.O. box is not accepted.
  • One address can carry no more than ten Sole Proprietor brands.

The address has to be a United States or Canadian one.

What the brand asks for

  • A brand type. Calilio offers the Sole Proprietor Brand type, described as suited to testing or to fewer than 3,000 message segments a day to the United States.
  • A Brand Name. For a sole proprietor business, Calilio asks for the business name, which is often the owner's own name.
  • A Vertical, chosen from ten industries: Agriculture, Communication, Construction, Education, Energy, Entertainment, Financial, Gambling, Government, and Healthcare.
  • A mobile number for verification. It has to be a United States or Canadian number, it cannot be a Calilio number, and it can carry no more than three Sole Proprietor brands.

The brand asks for a type, a name, an industry, and a mobile number.

What the campaign asks for

  • The registered brand the campaign belongs to, and one entry from Available A2P Campaign use cases.
  • A short description of what the campaign is for.
  • Two sample messages, each running to 1,000 characters, which carriers read to identify your traffic.
  • A description of how customers opt in, in 40 to 2,048 characters, listing every method you use.
  • A choice of default or custom wording for the Opt-in, Opt-out, and Help replies.

Why must your business details match your registration documents?

Your business details must match your registration documents because they set your messaging limits. Calilio states on the Business Details step that The Campaign Registry generates a trust score from what you enter, and that a difference in the business name or the address gives you lower limits. Copying the details straight from your documents is the one thing on this screen that changes how much you can send.

What do you need before you start?

You need your business registration documents, a United States or Canadian business address, a website, and a United States or Canadian mobile number you can reply from. Sole founders and freelancers registering as a sole proprietor need the same list, using the business name they trade under.
