How to Register an SMS Campaign in Calilio?
To register an SMS campaign in Calilio, open Compliance under Settings, go to the Campaign tab, and click Register Campaign. Choose your A2P brand and use case, add a description and two sample messages, describe how customers opt in, then attach the numbers that will send.
A campaign is the messaging use case carriers approve, such as account notifications or marketing. It is the last of the three registration stages, and Calilio links each campaign to one registered A2P brand.
Before you begin
- Register your brand first. The campaign form asks for one, and Register Campaign is unavailable while your workspace has no registered brand.
- Write your sample messages before you start. Carriers read them to identify your traffic.
- Know how your customers opt in, because the form asks you to describe it in your own words.
Step 1: Open the Campaign tab
- Open A2P Messaging by clicking Settings, then Compliance under WORKSPACE.
- Click Campaign, the fourth of the five tabs.
- Click Register Campaign at the top right of the table.

Click Register Campaign on the Campaign tab.
Step 2: Choose your brand and use case
- Pick your registered brand from A2P Brand.
- Pick one entry from Available A2P Campaign use cases. The list follows the brand type you registered.
- Both fields are required, and the list is empty until a brand is registered.

Choose your A2P brand, then choose the campaign use case.
Step 3: Describe the campaign and add sample messages
- Explain what the campaign is for under Define your Campaign description.
- Add two examples of the messages you will send, in Place your sample message #1 and #2.
- Each sample runs to 1,000 characters, and the form counts as you type.

Describe the campaign, then add two sample messages.
Step 4: Declare what your messages contain
- Under Your message contents, tick Message will include embedded links if your messages carry a link.
- Tick Message will include phone numbers if your messages carry a number.
- Leave both clear if neither applies.

Tick whichever describes your messages.
Step 5: Describe consent and set the standard replies
- Describe how customers opt in, in 40 to 2,048 characters. List every method if you use more than one.
- Choose Default Opt-in or Custom Opt-in, then do the same for Opt-out and for Help.
- All three are required.

Describe how customers opt in, then set the three replies.
Step 6: Attach the numbers and register
- Click Create to save the campaign. The Register Phone Numbers step opens next.
- Pick the Calilio numbers that will send on this campaign.
- Click Register.

Attach the numbers that will send, then click Register.
Expected result
- The campaign appears on the Campaign tab with its Friendly Name, its Status, its use case, and the brand it is connected to.
- Each number you attached appears on the Registered Numbers tab, against the campaign it belongs to.
- Messages to the United States are carried by the campaign once its status is approved.
What do the Opt-in, Opt-out, and Help choices do?
They set the replies your campaign sends when a customer joins, leaves, or asks for help. Default uses Calilio's standard wording, and Custom lets you write your own. Carriers read these as part of the campaign, so wording that matches your description is the safer choice.
Why is Register Campaign unavailable?
The most common reason is that no A2P brand is registered on your workspace yet. The campaign form asks for a brand, so the button stays unavailable on the Campaign tab until the Brand tab lists one. Register your business first.
