What document is required to port a phone number?
Before Porting (Consideration Stage)
- Keep your number active through the porting process and avoid any interruptions.
- Check your number eligibility for porting in your region or country, as rules can vary. Try our Number Porting Eligibility Checker to see if your number is portable.
- Verify that your account is active and in good standing, meaning you don't have any outstanding dues or pending issues.
- Check your latest bill to make sure that all financial obligations have been met and to confirm the account details.
- Each carrier has its own policy regarding the conditions and timeframe for porting. Make sure you understand them.
Personal and Account Information:
- Full Name and Address associated with the account.
- Account Number.
- PIN/Password used for verifying account ownership.
Documents to submit to Calilio (Submission stage)
- Sign and submit the Letter of Authorization (LOA) form to authorize the new carrier to port your number. You must provide a Letter of Authorization (LOA) dated within the last 30 days to prove you are the authorized user.
Proof of Account Ownership:
- You need to validate your identity with a government-issued ID (like a driver's license or passport).
- If required, you may need to provide a recent utility bill to prove the account's address.
Account Information from Old Carrier:
- You need to provide your account Number.
- You also need to include the 6-digit Transfer PIN associated with your previous account. The PIN confirms your identity and secures your number transfer.
- Copy of the most recent bill. (Optional, but may speed up the process by verifying account details.)
