# How to Manage Missed Calls in Calilio?

Manage missed calls in Calilio from three places. The Missed Calls tile on the Dashboard gives you the count, the MISSED filter in a business number's inbox lists that number's missed calls, and the notification bell shows an entry for each one. To return a missed call, open the conversation and click Start Call.

## Step 1: Check the Missed Calls tile

* Click Dashboard in the left sidebar.
* Find the Missed Calls tile in the Real Time panel.
* The tile shows a count, a percent change, and the share of inbound calls.

*The Missed Calls tile appears in the Real Time panel.*

## Step 2: List missed calls for a number

* Click a business number under NUMBERS to open its inbox.
* Open the dropdown labeled ALL, then choose MISSED.
* Missed entries read Missed Call and show a red arrow.
* Unread rows show a red count badge.

*Open the ALL dropdown and choose MISSED.*

## Step 3: Return the missed call

* Click a missed call entry to open the conversation.
* Click Start Call, the phone icon, in the conversation header.
* A Call Declined bubble in the conversation also reads Tap to call again.

*Click Start Call in the conversation header.*

## Step 4: Close the conversation

* Click Mark as Closed, the double check icon, in the conversation header.
* Use the OPEN and CLOSED toggle to switch between the two lists in the inbox.
* The two lists keep the conversations you are still working on separate from the ones you have finished.

*Click Mark as Closed once you have handled the call.*

## Step 5: Check the notification feed

* Click the bell icon in the top bar to open the notification feed.
* Entries are grouped under Today and Yesterday.
* Missed call entries read You missed a call from, followed by the caller's number.
* The notification feed reports activity only, and it does not contain notification settings.

*Click the bell icon to open the notification feed.*

## Expected result

* You can see the missed call count on the Dashboard.
* You can list missed calls for each business number, return a call, and close the conversation.

## Why does the Dashboard count differ from the MISSED list?

* The Dashboard count and the MISSED list differ because the two views have different scopes.
* The Missed Calls tile reports at the workspace level rather than for one number.
* The MISSED filter shows one business number's inbox at a time.
* Check the ALL MEMBERS pill and the last-synced line before you compare the figures.

## How do you reduce missed calls?

To reduce missed calls, use voicemail and call forwarding rather than a single missed-call setting. Voicemail takes a message when no one answers, and call forwarding automatically redirects unanswered calls to another designated number. The steps are in [__Set up voicemail on Calilio__](https://support.calilio.com/en/article/how-to-set-up-voicemail-on-calilio-16kcahd/) and [__Set up call forwarding on Calilio__](https://support.calilio.com/en/article/how-to-set-up-call-forwarding-on-calilio-4g3c5f/).

## Which view should you use to work through missed calls?

Use the MISSED filter in a business number's inbox when you want to work through missed calls one number at a time, because that view lets you open each conversation and return the call. Use the notification feed when you want a quick look at recent missed calls without opening a business number's inbox.
